Concrete Construction - The Stars of the Concrete Industry Make Their Mark

WEBCOR CONCRETE RANKS #4 IN TOP 100
As 2003 drew to an end, most concrete contractors seemed to be breathing a sigh of relief. Business isn’t exactly booming again but the shadow of 9/11 that dominated 002 seems to be fading, and jobs are starting up. Unfortunately, now we were faced with the specter of rapidly rising steel and plywood (or OSB) prices, and a sudden cement shortage.

But overall the CC100 contractors had a pretty good year in 2003, and most are having an even better start to 2004. The sum of total revenue for the CC100 went from $9.16 billion in 2001 to $9.48 billion in 2002, only a 3.4% increase. But in 2003, total revenue for the CC100 increased to $10.26 billion, a healthy 8.3% increase over 2002.
