At Webcor, one good pour has led to another. The company recently broke open the champagne to celebrate its success in completing a three-day-per-floor concrete pour at the 64-story One Rincon Hill highrise. It’s the first time that speed has been achieved on the West Coast.
The project’s level 18 deck was formed on day one, the reinforcing and post tensioning was installed on day two, and the concrete was placed on day three.
“We knew before we started the project that a three-day-per-floor cycle was possible, so it has been our goal all along,” said Webcor Concrete Project Manager Jack Harrington. “When the project began, we wer doing a five day cycle which evolved into a four-day cycle, and then finally trimmed to a three-day cycle,” he said.
